MLB has entrusted Mitchell and Ness exclusively with the responsibility of accurately portraying MLB's history through the evolution of the baseball uniform. The wool flannel shirts are contructed of a lightweight wool blend predominant in the late 1960's. The wool jackets are a blend of 80-20 wool-nylon 24 oz. melton.

Mitchell & Ness manufacture these hard to find wool flannel fabrics from 1901 through 1969.

The 1944 Brown's jacket (STL) appears in the 1944 World Series and the hit movie "Going My Way." Our remake is a real show-stopper--brown wool with butterscotch leather sleeves.

Satchel Paige #29 became a rookie in the major leagues at age 42 in 1948 when Bill Veeck signed him to a contract with the Cleveland Indians. The Browns move to Baltimore.

To draw fans, Veeck gave them "fun 'n' games," including midget Eddie Gaedel. The stunts so angered the other owners that Veeck was forced to sell the club to Baltimore interests in 1953, putting an end to the St. Louis Browns.
