The Indians win their first World Championship in 1920 in 9 games. It would be their only championship at League Park. The talent rich pitching staffs of the Indians included Hall of Famers- Bob Feller, Bob Lemon, Early Wynn and Larry Doby of the 1950's. The Indians make history by integrating the American League with Larry Doby. The Spiders from Cleveland were renamed the Indians in 1915 by fans supporting their own Louis Sockalexis, who taught native American boys how to play the game.
