The last game for the Phillies at Shibe Park was October 1970 and the Phillies moved into their new Veterans Stadium in 1971. Grover Cleveland Alexander had already won 118 games after his first 5 seasons as a Phillies pitcher. He set a modern rookie record in 1911 with 28 victories.The Phillies and Athletics shared Shibe Park for many games but the A's moved west to Kansas City and the Phillies built Veterans Stadium.
