The St. Louis Cardinals played alongside their American League counterparts , the St. Louis Browns. The Cardinals played in ten World Series and won seven of them ( 1926,1931,1934,1942,1944,1946 and in 1964). They beat the Browns in 1944 in the "Trolley Series". 78 years of big league ball at Sportsman's Park ended in 1966 with the coming of Busch Memorial Stadium.
